Charlotte Marathon | Website

The Novant Health Thunder Road Marathon had an eleven-year history in Charlotte and a NASCAR theme, but Charlotteans weren’t treating it like our hometown marathon. The race’s leadership team felt that it was time for a name change and rebrand to create more ownership and excitement around the race, so we helped them re-name the race as the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon.

After we agreed on the new name, we crafted a new logo and message: “Our Streets. Our City. Our Marathon.” Launching the rebrand was also an opportunity to build a community. We mapped a multi-channel strategy to build buzz, including a new website, social media, video production and media relationship building. See the full re-banding package here!
