Moonlight Wins Two 2018 American Advertising Awards

The Moon Crew took home Gold and Silver in the Sales & Marketing and Cross Platform categories.

The Moon Crew has two new awards to add to our shelf. Last week, our creative agency took home a gold and silver award at the 2018 American Advertising Awards, Charlotte’s premier agency competition.

Our first submission was the packaging series we designed for Bake For Your Life, a company that produces wholesome baking mixes. Each package had its own unique hand-illustrated pattern— a fun mixture of colorful characters and hand-lettered expressions like “Joy” and “Yum.” Our packaging series won a gold award in the Sales & Marketing Packaging category.

We also submitted our rebrand project for the architecture and design firm Wagner Murray. In addition to updating the firm’s brand identity and all that it encompasses (color, tone, personality, font, logo), we also built a new website and stationery kit. Our work won us a silver award in the Cross Platform Integrated Brand Identity category.

“Our goal was to help these two clients put their best foot forward, pushing them beyond their initial idea,” said Heather Wullenweber, Out of this World Designer. “Having clients that were open to new ideas and collaboration made it just that more enjoyable and successful.”

“I’m so proud to be a part of this talented team! We went up against some really great submissions,” said Katelyn Zander, Stellar Designer. “We were already proud with these projects, but being recognized for them and getting to share the news with our clients was a cherry on top!”

Our gold and silver awards are proudly sitting in our work area. “I think we want to look at them for a little while before putting them on the award shelf in the conference room,” said Anna van Erven, Marketing Master.
