Dawn graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University with a BFA, with a concentration in graphic design. She later earned her MBA with a concentration in marketing from the McColl School at Queens University of Charlotte.
Dawn has always been dedicated to giving back to the community. She currently co-chairs the Women Executives social committee and serves on the advisory board of Foundation for Girls. Her past volunteer roles include chairing the McColl School Alumni Association Board, the Charlotte Chamber’s Executive Committee and Board of Advisors, and served on the boards of Leadership Charlotte and 24 Hours of Booty.
Dawn was honored in 2002 by the Charlotte Business Journal with a “Women in Business Achievement” Award and was named to the prestigious 2006 Charlotte Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list of young leaders of accomplishment in recognition of her business achievements and commitment to the community. Dawn was recognized by 107.9 The Link (WLNK-FM) and Cambria Estate Winery as a “2006 Link Leading Lady.” In 2007 she received a Vision Award from the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas and was selected as a “Business Impact Leader” by Charlotte Business Leader magazine. Dawn was also named to the “50 Most Influential Women” list by The Mecklenburg Times in 2009.
In addition to being featured in The Charlotte Observer and in television and radio interviews in the Charlotte area, Dawn has also written marketing communications-oriented articles that have been published in the Charlotte Business Journal, The Mecklenburg Times and The North Carolina Journal for Women.
Dawn is married to Andrew – who is a fabulous general contractor – and has two dogs: Nannerpus (super sweet and lazy) and Tilly (super sweet and crazy energetic). She loves to read and travel – especially loves to read while traveling. She is the oldest of five siblings and aunt to three. She enjoys red wine, anything near a pool or beach and is a surprisingly good parallel parker.

WHAT’S YOUR WORST HABIT?
My husband would say taking the end of the driveway too sharp and driving through the mud. I would say red wine (but really it’s the mud thing).
IF YOU COULD MAKE ONE WISH, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Fat-free, no carb, no calorie french fries. That taste good.
