Today we signed up for GUTS, an annual pumpkin carving competition that unifies our creative community in support of Make-A-Wish and the kids who fight the real fight everyday. Hannah and I recently participated in AIGA Charlotte’s Beer & Branding design showcase. The event combines two creative fields: craft beer and design (need we say more?). As many of you probably already know, the Moonlighters gather for “family lunch” on Tuesday afternoons. We each have an assigned week where it’s our responsibility to prepare the day’s meal for the crew. Each of these things has a structure for organization based on importance. The food pyramid tells us that more fruits and vegetables are better for us than maxing out on carbs; doctrine tells us that Kings are more powerful than Princes; Maslow tells us that we first must fulfill our physiological needs before we fulfill our desire to be respected and accepted socially.
